RatedBooking is operated by Asgarbyte Limited. This policy explains what personal data is handled when people use RatedBooking websites, mobile apps, provider dashboards, admin tools, booking links, QR booking pages, notifications, and related services.
1. Roles
Asgarbyte Limited operates the RatedBooking platform. For platform accounts, security, marketplace discovery, notifications, analytics, subscriptions, and admin operations, Asgarbyte Limited acts as a controller. For some booking data entered by or on behalf of providers, providers may also be independent controllers responsible for how they use customer information outside the platform.
2. Data We Collect
We may collect account details, contact details, provider company details, staff details, service listings, booking details, guest booking details, reviews, support messages, notification preferences, device tokens, login/session data, audit logs, payment/subscription references, and technical information such as IP address, browser, device, app version, and security events.
3. How We Use Data
We use data to create accounts, verify email addresses, show country-specific providers, process booking requests, prevent double booking, send confirmations and reminders, allow providers to manage services and calendars, enable customer reviews after completed bookings, provide admin moderation, protect security, prevent abuse, improve the platform, and meet legal obligations.
4. Legal Bases
Depending on the activity, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, consent, and user/provider instructions. Consent is used where required, for example for optional non-essential cookies or some notification choices.
5. Sharing
Booking information is shared between the customer and the selected provider so the service can be arranged. We may use processors for hosting, email, payments, analytics, monitoring, customer support, and push notification delivery. Payment processing may be handled by Stripe. We do not sell personal data.
6. Countries and Transfers
RatedBooking is designed as one shared platform with country-separated data access. Data may be processed where our hosting, support, and service providers operate. Where legally required, transfers outside the UK or EEA should use appropriate safeguards.
7. Retention
We keep data only for as long as needed for platform operation, booking records, security, dispute handling, accounting, legal compliance, and legitimate business records. Providers and customers may request account support or deletion where applicable, subject to records we must keep.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data. You may also have rights to complain to a data protection authority.
9. Security
RatedBooking uses authenticated access, role checks, country filtering, provider ownership checks, hashed passwords, hashed refresh tokens, audit logs, encrypted HTTPS deployments, and controlled admin tools. No online service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but security is treated as a core platform requirement.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Essential cookies or local storage may be used for login, language, country selection, security, and service operation. Optional analytics or marketing cookies should only be used where a valid consent setup is enabled. See the Cookie Policy.
